ACG, a leading supplier of integrated manufacturing solutions for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, has commenced operations at its state-of-the-art capsule manufacturing facility in Rayong, Thailand. The facility, the largest of its kind in the country, is dedicated to producing empty hard gelatin capsules and is strategically positioned to serve key Asian markets, including Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines. With a production capacity of 20 billion capsules annually and employing 250 people, the 175,000-square-metre facility is designed to enhance regional supply chain efficiencies and reduce transit times. ACG also aims to secure approvals to supply capsules to China, further expanding its market reach.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Rayong Provincial Governor Mr. Triphob Wongtrirat and ACG’s Managing Director, Karan Singh, alongside representatives from the Board of Investment (BOI) and the Thai Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association (TPMA). Commenting on the development, Karan Singh emphasized the strategic importance of the Thai market, noting, “The Rayong facility marks a significant milestone in our global expansion. By establishing a local presence, we’re bringing advanced technology closer to our customers while enhancing delivery times and operational efficiency.”
Selwyn Noronha, CEO of ACG Capsules, highlighted the facility’s adherence to global manufacturing standards and its contribution to local communities. “This facility reduces lead times, supports sustainability initiatives, and empowers local talent. It reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship and regional economic growth,” he stated.
Equipped with ACG’s advanced capsule printing technology, the factory focuses on producing a wide range of capsule sizes and customisation options to meet the unique needs of the pharmaceutical, herbal, and nutraceutical industries. Designed with scalability in mind, the Rayong facility aligns with ACG’s mission to advance global health and wellness by ensuring agility and responsiveness to evolving industry demands.
