Haryana will soon develop an Industrial Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) near Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, spanning approximately 3,000 acres and involving an estimated investment of ₹4,680 crore. The project will be executed in collaboration with the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) and is a key component of the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC).
Aimed at boosting industrial growth and promoting planned urbanization, the IMC is expected to attract investments worth ₹32,000 crore and create over 10,000 employment opportunities. The cluster will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and will significantly benefit from its proximity to the airport.
According to an official statement released after a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, officials informed that the Central Government, in partnership with state governments, is facilitating the development of integrated industrial corridors featuring multi-modal connectivity to drive manufacturing expansion.
The Hisar IMC, the largest under the AKIC initiative, will be developed in two phases. The meeting was also attended by Haryana Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel.
