3D Monotech has launched the Markforged FX10, an advanced industrial metal and composite 3D printer, in India. The event featured notable speakers, including Dr. G Saravana Kumar from IIT Madras, who highlighted breakthroughs in 3D and 4D printing for healthcare. Aravind Udupi of Nordex Group shared how Markforged printers reduced their design-to-manufacturing cycle to just 18 months.
Other highlights included a presentation by Dr. Winstone Deaver from 3D GRAPHYLLP, showcasing a project for the Indian Navy where 3D printing reduced an impeller’s weight from 8 kg to 1 kg. CSIR Senior Scientist Ravi Babu discussed innovations in batteries and bioprinting for the chemical industry.
