The Bharat Climate Forum, a national platform aimed at bringing together stakeholders from policy, industry, finance, and research to promote cleantech manufacturing in India, was launched on Friday.
At the event, ministers and experts emphasized that with adequate investment and a strategic approach, India could achieve self-reliance in clean technology manufacturing to effectively tackle the climate crisis.
Union Minister for Information and Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted that the Indian government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative reflects the nation’s commitment to achieving “economic sovereignty and technological leadership through innovation and collaboration.”
