The highly anticipated China–Thailand Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Cooperation High-Level Forum was successfully held in Bangkok. Key stakeholders from both countries gathered under the framework of Thailand’s “Industry 4.0” roadmap to explore industrial synergies. This forum marked a significant milestone in deepening bilateral industrial ties and promoting sustainable cooperation in intelligent manufacturing and automation.
The event was organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), co-organized by Hangzhou Tanda Machinery Import and Export Co., Ltd., and undertaken by Ringier Trade Media Ltd. Numerous representatives from the political and business sectors of both China and Thailand participated in the forum.
Opening Remarks
The forum began with a welcome speech:
Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, expressed her appreciation to CCCME for its dedication to fostering China–Thailand economic and trade relations. She noted that the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries has advanced economic development and improved the livelihoods of their people. She emphasized the importance of seizing the opportunity presented by the 50th anniversary of China–Thailand diplomatic relations to usher in a new era of bilateral cooperation. Ms. Zhang also expressed hope that the China Machinery and Electronic Products (Thailand) Service Center would serve as an efficient platform for facilitating industrial collaboration and resource integration.
Ms. Yang Tong, Deputy Secretary-General of CCCME, highlighted the accelerating pace of China–ASEAN trade. She encouraged enterprises to leverage the strong industrial complementarity between China and Thailand. Ms. Yang also introduced the current state of China–Thailand economic and trade cooperation, explained the functions and significance of the newly established China Machinery and Electronic Products (Thailand) Service Center, and expressed her best wishes for the forum’s success.
Mr. Leardchai Lamthaisong, Investment Promotion Officer at the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI),outlined the national strategy and incentives available for foreign investors involved in intelligent automation and machinery.
Keynote Presentations
During the core forum, industry leaders from China and Thailand delivered a series of insightful keynote speeches:
Mr. Prapin Abhinorasaeth, Chairman of the Thailand Automation and Robotics Association (TARA), shared insights on Thailand’s evolving automation landscape and emphasized the role of strategic partnerships in achieving national productivity targets.
Mr. Chodnarin Vipada, Secretary-General and Treasurer of the Thai Packaging Design Association (Thai PDA),discussed opportunities for collaboration in sustainable packaging innovation.
Mr. Ni Kan, Vice President of Hangzhou Tanda Machinery Import and Export Co., Ltd., introduced the newly launched service center in Samut Sakhon Province. Equipped with a 3,500-square-meter showroom and a Sino-foreign team, the center offers comprehensive online and offline services and serves as a strategic gateway to Southeast Asia.
Mr. Han Peng, Deputy General Manager of Anhui Hangda Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., shared that the company specializes in automotive powertrain assembly and testing systems, empowering automakers with customized production lines to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Highlights
One of the forum’s highlights was the official unveiling ceremony of the China Machinery and Electronic Products (Thailand) Service Center. The plaque was jointly unveiled by Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao and Mr. Leardchai Lamthaisong.
Following the unveiling, Ms. Yang Tong presented an authorization certificate to Mr. Zhang Hao, President of Hangzhou Tanda Machinery Import and Export Co., Ltd.
Another key moment was the signing of a service contract between Mr. Wang Yuanqing, General Manager of Hangzhou Datian CNC Machine Tool Co., Ltd., and Mr. Zhang Hao.
Business Matching Session
In the second half of the forum, participants took part in a China–Thailand business matching session. Companies engaged in in-depth discussions on technical cooperation, investment potential, and product procurement. Representatives exchanged ideas and explored cross-border collaboration plans.
This high-level forum truly embodied the spirit of cross-border cooperation and mutual benefit. It demonstrated how intelligent manufacturing is becoming a driving force for growth, innovation, and regional integration in Asia. As China continues to promote the Belt and Road Initiative, platforms like this will be vital to supporting Thailand’s “Industry 4.0” ambitions.
