Havells India Limited, a leading name in the Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) and consumer durables sector, has announced the elevation of Preemita Singh to the position of President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This leadership move is part of the company’s strategic focus on strengthening its human capital and driving organizational transformation through progressive HR practices.
With over 25 years of experience across Indian and global markets, Preemita brings deep expertise in leadership development, organizational design, digital transformation, and cultural integration. She previously served as Executive Vice President and CHRO at Havells, where she played a pivotal role in reimagining the HR function to become a key business enabler.
Before joining Havells, Preemita held senior HR roles at prominent organizations including Hero Fincorp, ICRA, Max Life Insurance, RBS, CSC, EY, and Thermax. Her leadership style is known for being purpose-driven, people-centric, and strategically aligned with business outcomes.
Preemita holds a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies and a master’s degree in Labour Laws and Welfare from Symbiosis Law College.
In her new role, she will continue to lead Havells’ talent strategy with a focus on enhancing employee engagement, building future-ready leadership pipelines, and fostering an agile, inclusive, and high-performance culture. Her efforts have already resulted in significant improvements in workforce productivity, digital HR integration, and leadership capability building across the organization.
