Boeing [NYSE: BA] has appointed Dana Deasy as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Vice President for Information Technology & Data Analytics, effective December 31, 2024. In his role as CIO, Deasy will oversee Boeing’s information technology, cybersecurity, and data analytics operations. He will report directly to President and CEO Kelly Ortberg and serve as a member of the company’s Executive Council.
“Dana is a highly regarded global technology leader with a proven track record of driving innovative solutions in large, complex organizations,” said Ortberg. “With increasing cyber threats and the transformative impact of technologies like artificial intelligence, his leadership will be critical to ensuring our IT initiatives support safety, quality, and reliability, while positioning Boeing for future success.”
Deasy brings over 40 years of technology and leadership expertise, including his most recent position as CIO for the U.S. Department of Defense. His extensive career spans roles at JPMorgan Chase, BP, General Motors, and Rockwell’s Space Systems Division. He succeeds Susan Doniz, who departed the company late last year.
