At the heart of these principles lies the strategic optimization of facility layouts, which profoundly influences material flow, worker movement, and overall production efficiency. A well-planned layout can significantly minimize unnecessary movement, reduce inventory, and enhance production flow. This underscores the critical role facility managers play in shaping and implementing these layouts to achieve maximum efficiency.
