The INOXGFL Group announced on Tuesday that the Odisha government has allocated a land parcel in Dhenkanal to Inox Solar, a subsidiary of Inox Clean, for setting up a 4.8-gigawatt (GW) solar cell and 4.8 GW solar module manufacturing facility.
This project, part of a ₹4,000 crore investment announced earlier this year, is expected to significantly contribute to India’s renewable energy ambitions while supporting Odisha’s industrial growth. Approved by the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), the initiative is projected to generate over 3,400 jobs.
Spanning approximately 78 acres, the plant aims to boost sustainable industrial development and create new employment opportunities in the region.
“This investment aligns with our vision of transforming Odisha into a green energy powerhouse,” said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. “It promotes sustainable growth and drives economic development.”
Devansh Jain, Executive Director of INOXGFL Group, emphasized the strategic importance of the move: “This land allocation strengthens our commitment to India’s clean energy mission, enabling us to offer world-class renewable manufacturing solutions.”
