The partnership brings advanced semiconductor technology to locally designed power-electronics products for solar and distributed energy applications
Zenergize, a power-electronics product company designing and manufacturing solutions in India for the solar and clean-energy sector, today announced a strategic technology partnership with Infineon Technologies to integrate Infineon’s power semiconductor components across its product portfolio.
Under the partnership, Zenergize will use Infineon’s Silicon Carbide (SiC) power devices along with technical and application-level support to improve the efficiency, reliability, and operating life of its power-electronics systems. The collaboration is focused on product and technology integration.
The partnership comes at a time when India’s renewable-energy landscape is expanding rapidly, driven by programmes such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and the growing adoption of distributed solar and energy-storage solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial segments. As installations scale, the role of robust, high-performance power-electronics hardware—designed for Indian conditions—has become increasingly critical.
Infineon’s Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor technology plays a key role in enabling such high-performance systems. SiC devices allow higher efficiency, lower power losses, and more compact system design capabilities that are essential for next-generation solar inverters, energy-storage systems, and grid-connected power equipment. By integrating Infineon’s SiC technology, Zenergize can design power-electronics systems that deliver higher efficiency and reliable performance in India’s demanding grid and climatic conditions.
By working closely with Infineon, Zenergize aims to strengthen its ability to design and manufacture power-electronics products that can operate reliably across India’s diverse climatic and grid environments, including high temperatures, voltage fluctuations, and space-constrained installations. The partnership also supports Zenergize’s broader goal of strengthening domestic power-electronics capabilities by reducing dependence on imported system-level technologies while aligning its products with global performance standards.
Infineon will supply advanced power semiconductor components and provide technical guidance to support system-level optimisation across Zenergize’s products, helping shorten development cycles and improve time-to-market.
“India’s energy transition will depend on power-electronics systems that are not only efficient, but also reliable under real operating conditions,” said Veer Karan Goyal, Founder & CTO, Zenergize. “Our partnership with Infineon gives us access to globally proven semiconductor technology and deep technical expertise, while allowing us to continue designing and manufacturing in India, for Indian conditions. Importantly, all operational data across our platforms remains securely hosted within India, ensuring data sovereignty and regulatory compliance.”
Commenting on the collaboration, Jens Reinstaedt, Vice President Application Management Industrial & Infrastructure, Infineon Technologies, said, “India’s energy-transition ambitions are among the most – 2 significant in the world, and Infineon is committed to being a long-term technology partner in this journey. As the number one in power semiconductors, we master all relevant materials — silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride — and deliver complete system solutions from power switches and gate drivers to microcontrollers, sensors, and connectivity. This enables partners like Zenergize to build more efficient, compact, and reliable power-electronics products, optimized for India’s demanding operating conditions.”
Through this partnership, Zenergize strengthens its position as a domestic power-electronics manufacturer supporting India’s renewable-energy ambitions, while laying the groundwork for future expansion into global markets.
