India's Leading Magazine For Manufacturing Industries

… Rajesh Shah, MD of Euro Panel Products, in conversation with Efficient Manufacturing Magazine.

Q: Infrastructure development increasingly operates under strict regulatory and safety frameworks. How is Euro Panel Products investing in advanced manufacturing technologies, in-house capabilities, and compliance standards to ensure its products remain future-ready as regulations and project specifications evolve toward 2026?

At Eurobond, we view the tightening regulatory landscape as a catalyst for modernisation. To ensure we are future-ready, we have expanded our infrastructure and in-house capabilities with a focus on self-reliance, quality and precision.

Our primary strategy is backwards integration for total quality control. We recently commissioned India’s longest three-coat, two-bake continuous coil coating line. Moving this critical process in-house ensures that every square meter we produce meets the exact thickness, paint quality, and fire-safety standards required by modern infrastructure projects. Crucially, by limiting our reliance on imported materials and bringing key processes in-house, we have significantly accelerated our production cycles, translating to faster turnaround times and reliable delivery schedules for time-sensitive infrastructure projects.

This commitment to performance is backed by rigorous, certified validation. Eurobond has been accredited by the NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) for in-house colour coil testing and performance under ISO/IEC 17025 standards that ensures consistent output.

Furthermore, we continue to scale capacity to keep pace with India’s infrastructure growth. We are significantly investing to expand our manufacturing footprint at our Umbergaon facility, pushing our total capacity to approximately 10 million M2 annually.

Q. With a diversified product portfolio that includes Eurobond ACPs, fire-retardant panels, EURODUAL Panels, and specialised façade and cladding solutions, how is the company evolving its offerings to meet the stringent safety, durability, and performance requirements of infrastructure projects?

To meet the stringent demands of modern infrastructure, we have engineered innovations like Eurodual and SolidAl. These Engineered Solid sheets offer the unique advantage of dual finishes, allowing distinct aesthetics on a single panel. Beyond this design versatility, they deliver critical structural benefits—they are fire-retardant, consistently flat, and built for superior strength and durability.

By coating coils and mixing paints in-house using high-quality raw materials, we maintain absolute control over the chemical composition and consistency of our products. Through these comprehensive system improvements, we guarantee that every panel meets stringent architectural specifications without compromise.

This in-house capability also unlocks superior research and development, and customisation. We can engineer surface finishes and protective coatings tailored to the specific climatic and structural needs of Indian infrastructure. Whether it is a transport hub requiring high abrasion resistance or a high-rise demanding specific fire-retardant grades, our complete control allows us to offer bespoke finishes and extended warranties that mere assemblers cannot match.

Quality and durability are non-negotiable. To guarantee performance, our panels undergo rigorous long-term evaluations, including accelerated weathering and salt spray tests running for 4,000 hours (approximately 166 days of continuous exposure).

This exceptional durability is validated by globally reputed third-party labs like Thomas Bell Wright, TUV Nord, and Exova Warringtonfire. We further reinforce this premium quality through exclusive alliances with Euramax (Netherlands) for coil coating and Rheinzink (Germany) for zinc panels.

Financially, our distinct position as the only publicly listed ACP company ensures the capital stability required to sustain these long-term innovations. This solid financial foundation has yielded robust growth, proving that our focus on premium, safe, and durable manufacturing is exactly what the market demands.

Q. As the infrastructure sector becomes more design-driven and sustainability-focused, how does Euro Panel Products see its role beyond being a materials supplier, and by 2026, how would you like architects, developers, EPC players, and policymakers to perceive the Eurobond brand?

By 2026, we aim for stakeholders to perceive Eurobond not merely as a manufacturer, but as true innovators and partners in their vision. We are positioning ourselves as active collaborators for your specific project requirements, bringing dedicated R&D, advanced technical capabilities, and uncompromised aesthetics to every façade.

We are redefining architectural design possibilities by offering over 300 designs across 30 distinct product ranges. This expansive portfolio provides architects with a limitless canvas—from the exactness of infinite colour customisation and premium wood finishes to our exclusive Midas touch series, which elevates façades with striking, gold-streaked aesthetics.

Beyond surface design, we engineer for structural versatility. Our Eurodual panels offer the unique advantage of dual-face capabilities, maximizing design flexibility on-site. Furthermore, the robust integrity of both our Eurodual and SolidAl panels ensures flawless compatibility with CNC perforation. This empowers creators to move beyond static cladding, fabricating breathable, visually dynamic façades that actively regulate building temperatures—transforming a building’s exterior into a smart, climate-responsive asset.

Beyond supplying these advanced aesthetic materials, our role extends to becoming the benchmark for circular construction, ensuring that sustainability is engineered directly into the product life cycle. This commitment to being ‘future-ready’ starts at our manufacturing source. Aligning with global ESG standards, we have installed a solar power project to power a significant portion of our operations, ensuring our carbon footprint meets the green building compliances our clients increasingly demand.

Alongside this energy efficiency, we have already established Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) as a standard practice at our facility. Through our advanced in-house Sewage and Effluent Treatment Plants (STP/ETP), we treat and recirculate 100% of our wastewater, ensuring absolutely no discharge affects the ecosystem. Complementing this, we operate a zero-waste material cycle by crushing and reintroducing manufacturing scrap back into the production cycle.

Finally, our aluminium panels are 100% recyclable without structural degradation. We want the industry to recognize Eurobond as the definitive choice for responsible durability—where limitless design possibilities, long lifespans, and infinite recyclability significantly lower the carbon footprint of the built environment.
