India's Leading Magazine For Manufacturing Industries

Taipei, Tawan, March 3 – The 30th edition of Taipei International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS), co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), runs from March 3 to 8, 2025, at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 & 2 and Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. This year’s exhibition brings together over 1,000 exhibitors across 6,100 booths.

Under the theme “Integrate to Innovate”, TIMTOS 2025 will focus on three key areas: AI & Robotics, Smart Manufacturing, and Green Sustainability. The event leads global machine tool players in exploring vast business opportunities across five major application sectors: semiconductors, electric vehicles, medical, aerospace, and renewable energy. Widely recognized as a premier international exhibition for smart manufacturing and machine tools, TIMTOS continues to be a global industry benchmark.

To attract more international buyers to Taiwan, TAITRA mobilized its 62 overseas offices to extend strong invitations worldwide, successfully drawing buyers from 87 countries with over 3,000 international visitors pre-registering. Delegations hail from Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and India. Notable attendees include top brands such as Italy’s aluminum extrusion and processing leader F.O.M. INDUSTRIE SRL, Germany’s century-old precision tool manufacturer EMUGE-Werk Richard Glimpel GmbH & Co. KG, and Canada’s manufacturing giant Thomas Skinner & Son Limited. The show is expected to welcome over 50,000 domestic and international visitors.

This year’s exhibition showcases leading manufacturers from Taiwan and abroad, The event will also showcase the latest cutting-edge technologies and solutions from top-tier enterprises, including Fair Friend Group, Tongtai, Victor Taichung, HIWIN, YCM, CHMER, You Ji, Siemens, Heidenhain, FANUC, MAZAK, and Mitsubishi. New exhibitors like Germany’s gear machining leader LIEBHERR and Italy’s forging machine manufacturer MECOLPRESS. Several national pavilions, including those from Switzerland, Germany, and the United States, underscore TIMTOS’s status as a pivotal platform for product and technology showcases.

The opening ceremony welcomes distinguished guests, including Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te, Minister of Economic Affairs Kuo Jyh-huei, AIT Director Raymond Greene, German Institute Taipei Director Jörg Polster, and Swiss Trade Office Taipei Director Danielle Tarnanidis, alongside TAITRA Chairman James Huang and TAMI Chairman David Chuang.

James Huang, Chairman of TAITRA, stated AI and smart manufacturing are accelerating the transformation of Taiwan’s machinery industry. Looking ahead, the key to industrial progress lies not only in technology but in the next generation of AI talent. Amid shifting geopolitical dynamics and a rapidly evolving supply chain, Taiwan’s strong technological capabilities will position it as a critical player in global manufacturing. Huang urged Taiwan’s machinery industry to leverage AI advantages and lead the global machine tool sector into a new era of smart manufacturing, driving the next industrial revolution together.

TAMI Chairman David Chuang highlighted the resilience of Taiwan’s machine tool sector despite economic uncertainties in 2024. Taiwan is leading the industry supply chain in adopting AI applications and advancing the transition to net-zero emissions, shifting the competition from price to value. Together, the industry is reaching a new milestone in its 30th edition, moving toward smart manufacturing and green manufacturing.

Celebrating its 30th edition, TIMTOS 2025 offers a series of special events, including the TIMTOS Keynote & Forum, “ESG Action!” sustainability activities, “Dr. Net Zero” corporate carbon checkups, the Manufacturing Addiction Podcast, a green product competition, themed guided tours, a 30th-anniversary celebration and beer festival, and a Taipei 101 light show. Notably, the Taiwan Patent GO Pavilion by the Intellectual Property Office debuts at TIMTOS, showcasing five award-winning patents and providing free patent consultation services throughout the show.

TIMTOS 2025 runs from March 3 to March 8 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 & 2 and Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Admission is free with online registration.
