India's Leading Magazine For Manufacturing Industries

| As one of India’s leading tyre manufacturers, TVS Eurogrip has a portfolio of tyres for varied needs. We have tyres for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, ultra-light trucks, small commercial vehicles, and for the off-highway segment – agriculture and farm tyres, industrial tyres and construction tyres.

V. Sivaramakrishnan,

Chief Technology Officer,

TVS Srichakra

As far as two-wheeler tyres go, we have the widest range in the category with 135+ products. We have been manufacturing tyres for almost 4 decades now, presently we cater to every segment of two-wheelers ranging from commuter class to super bikes of upto 1400 cc. The entire range is designed to deliver world class quality and high performance.

TVS Eurogrip Factory

While designing a tyre, we at TVS Eurogrip, study latest market trends and riders’ needs to develop new products. Our product design and development centre at Milan, Italy enables us to understand the global picture and trends in motoring and our approach is very scientific when it comes to developing products for different geographies. The market dynamics are such that the expectations of today’s new age customers has changed from wanting to buy ‘just a tyre’ to one that compliments their passion for riding and their noteworthy riding machines.

Spread over a sprawling 2.5 lakh square meters, TVS Eurogrip’s Madurai plant is a state-of-the-art facility rolling out most of the products in the portfolio, be it for OE customers, domestic, and export markets.

We are one of India’s largest exporters of 2W tyres, we are present in more than 88 countries. Today we sell in most countries across South and Southeast Asia including Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Nepal, Bhutan, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Europe, LATAM and Africa are markets we are setting strong footprints in.

Focus R & D

We have built an R&D Organization which is future ready and capable of delivering high quality products for global markets.

We have come a long distance in terms of R&D. Earlier, we used to launch a maximum of 25-30 products in a year. Today, we are geared to roll out over 100 products a year. We have revamped our R & D capacity, both in terms of infrastructure and manpower.

We have modernised our test track in Madurai.  We have strengthened our R&D team by nearly 50 per cent. We have scaled up our manufacturing facility in Madurai, the backbone for us to consistently launch new products.

Our R&D arm is future ready and can deliver high quality products for global markets. We have razor sharp focus on tracking the emerging market needs and developing technologies to meet changing market demands.

Future beckons!

The two-wheeler market is witnessing tremendous growth. The number of 2 wheelers on Indian roads is 23.4 crore units in 2023, it has doubled in the last 6 years.

A whopping 1.59 crore two and three wheelers have been sold in India in the financial year 2023. Meaning 3.2 crore new tyres have been rolled out.  A very rough math translates that about 3 crore tyres will need replacement in the next 36 months. As premiumisation gathers pace, there is an increased demand for premium bike tyres in India. Though niche, we also see an increase in interest for sub-categories like off-roading, racing, and sport-touring. Electric 2-wheelers is also a segment that is growing and we are leading the curve in that space in terms of product development and having a best-in-category range.

To us, the future of 2& 3-wheeler tyre industry looks promising and we look forward to building Eurogrip as a strong global brand.
