As the early morning mist gently lifted over India Gate, the heart of Delhi witnessed a spectacle like no other. The Honourable Union Minister of Culture & Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, flagged off a breathtaking procession of vintage and classic automobiles, marking the grand beginning of the 11th edition of the 21 Gun Salute Concours d’Elegance.
On the occasion he said “Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stated that this type of Vintage Expo is significantly boosting tourism in India, providing a substantial opportunity to further increase tourism, especially heritage tourism in the country. The Minister emphasized that such activities should be held in India at various frequencies to sustain this boost for the tourism industry. He congratulated all participants, members, and jury members, particularly those from different parts of the world who attended the event.”
A symphony of roaring engines and gleaming exteriors mesmerized onlookers as a convoy of over 125 rare Vintage Cars & 50 vintage Motorcycles set out on a journey through the vibrant streets of Delhi. Against the backdrop of colonial-era architecture, the automobiles, many of them heirlooms of India’s erstwhile royalty, exuded an aura of timeless grandeur. The roads came alive with the colors, emotions, and passion of the vintage car enthusiasts who celebrated India’s rich motoring history.
As the majestic procession weaved its way through the bustling avenues of the capital, locals and tourists alike gathered to witness a parade of motoring excellence. After a thrilling two-hour drive, the convoy reached its final destination—the sprawling Ambience Golf Greens, Gurugram, where a three-day Concours awaited them. Set against the lush landscape, this exclusive venue was transformed into an automobile paradise, hosting an exquisite display of some of the world’s rarest and most magnificent cars.
Participants and collectors from across the country brought forth their prized possessions, including iconic models such the exquisite 1939 Delahaye (Figoni et Falaschi, 1903 De Dion Bouton the oldest in the concourse, 1917 Ford Model T Roadster, 1935 Buick 90 L Ex Ayodhya, 1935 Cadillac Fleetwood etc —each telling its own unique tale of craftsmanship and innovation
The 2025 edition welcomed some of the most eminent car collectors and distinguished royal families. Among them are Yohan Poonawalla, Viveck Goenka, Diljeet Titus, Jimmy Tata, Gautam Hari Singhania, Harshpati Singhania, and Arjun Oberoi, along with members of erstwhile princely states such as Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Rajkot, Baroda, Gondal, Mysore, Mansa, Karoli, Gwalior, Morbi, Wankaner, Kutch & Santrampur etc.
To ensure a world-class evaluation of these masterpieces, an esteemed international jury panel, featuring global vintage car experts such as Christian Kramer, Whitney Overocker, Shinichi Ekko, Shinichi Ekko, Alex von Mozer, Allan Winn etc have specialuy flown to India to meticulously judge each entry on authenticity, craftsmanship, and historical significance.
