Rittal, a leading provider of industrial enclosures, power distribution, climate control, and IT infrastructure solutions, announces the appointment of Mr Mathew Jacob as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 1, 2026. He succeeds Mr Ajay Bhargava, who concludes a distinguished 16-year tenure as Managing Director of Rittal India.
A seasoned industry leader with over three decades of experience, Mr Mathew has held senior leadership roles at Standard Batteries, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and Schneider Electric. He has also been an integral part of Rittal India’s leadership team for the past eight years, most recently serving as Vice President – Sales & Marketing, where he played a pivotal role in driving business growth, strengthening market presence, and deepening customer engagement.
Mr Mathew holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and a postgraduate qualification in Marketing Management from LIBA, complemented by executive education at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Harvard University, reflecting a strong blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership capability.
He brings deep expertise across technical sales, strategy formulation and execution, product management, business development, key account management, and service excellence. His ability to integrate these capabilities has consistently driven growth, strengthened customer engagement, and delivered sustained business success.
Widely recognised for his ability to translate strategy into execution, Mr Mathew has successfully built high-performing teams, advanced customer-centric initiatives, and led market-focused strategies that deliver sustained competitive advantage.
