The Medical Device Park in Sector 28, near the Yamuna Expressway, is steadily taking shape, with one company completing construction and seven others beginning work on their units. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted 74 plots, with 36 companies having executed lease deeds and preparing to start construction. To accelerate progress, YEIDA is expediting electricity connections for these units.
YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh confirmed that manufacturers have now received the necessary approvals to avail of stamp duty exemptions. The project is expected to be formally inaugurated within the next two months, with common infrastructure like administrative and IT buildings set for completion by May.
Spread across 350 acres near Noida International Airport and Film City, the park has already completed its road, drainage, and sewerage networks. Companies such as Vanguard Diagnostics, Q-line Biotech, and Romsons are among the key players setting up manufacturing units. Notably, TI Medical, a joint venture between Murugappa Group’s Tube Investments of India (TII) and Premji Invest, has been allotted 11 acres for a large-scale facility.
Approved in January 2022, the project aims to boost domestic medical device manufacturing and reduce import dependency. It is closely monitored by the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers. With a focus on medical segments like radiology, imaging, cancer care, and cardiology, YEIDA’s Medical Device Park is poised to become a significant hub for healthcare innovation in India.
