Hero MotoCorp Ltd. has today announced the appointment of Kausalya Nandakumar as its new Chief Business Officer for the Emerging Mobility Business Unit, effective immediately.
With nearly two decades of industry experience, Nandakumar joins from Mahindra Group, where she most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd. Her strategic leadership there helped drive the rollout of a $9.8 billion electric SUV portfolio.
Reporting directly to Executive Chairman Dr. Pawan Munjal, Nandakumar will lead the company’s EV brand, Vida, spearheading sustainable mobility initiatives, expanding charging infrastructure, and exploring new business models.
“This is a statement of intent,” said Hero MotoCorp. “Her appointment reinforces our ambition to lead the next era of mobility”.
Nandakumar succeeds Swadesh Srivastava, who stepped down for health reasons. Srivastava will support the transition to ensure continuity in Vida’s acceleration.
Why This Matters
